These Are My Lines

Lines are defined as a 1 demension and vaires in width, length, and direction.

The first type of lines are vertical lines in which it gives a sense of height. The gates of Olympian High School can be called "Vertical Lines" because of the directioon the lines go, up and down.

These lines are diagonal; diagonal lines give a feeling of movement, and are unstable. This picture was taken in the MPR, & are diagonal.

The silver line hovering over the counselor windows is a horizontal line. Horizontal lines are flat and go in the direction from left to right.

This picture contains curved lines; the steps that are located near the OHS cafeteria. Curved lines convey energy and gives a softening effect on composition.

The window located near the cafeteria contain a combination of horizontal and vertical lines. Combining both types give a sense of stability and solidity. Also, the wall surrounding the window can be defined as "repeated lines" in which it gives a sense of rhythm & has a pattern.

The brick wall of the ASB are structural lines. The lines in between the bricks hold a particular design together.
